Once upon a time there was an African Prince called Oroonoko.
Everybody liked him because he was kind and clever.

He lived happily in his country until he met the beautiful Imoinda.

Imoinda was famous by her beauty. She met prince Oroonoko and both fell in love with each other.

One day, the King saw Imoinda and also fell in love with her. As he could have whatever he wanted, he asked Imoinda to be with him.

Imoinda was very sad about this and never forgot Prince Oroonoko, who was fighting in a battle and didn't know about the King's intentions.

When Oroonoko was told the news he got very sad and angry.
